Proudly Built in America: Celebrating More Than 30 Years of U.S. Manufacturing at Global Surgical
Every year on the Fourth of July, we celebrate the independence, innovation, and craftsmanship that have helped shape America.
At Global Surgical, those values are more than just part of a holiday—they've been part of our company culture for more than 30 years.
Since 1994, Global Surgical has proudly designed, manufactured, assembled, and supported dental microscopes right here in St. Louis, Missouri. While many products in today's dental equipment market are manufactured overseas and imported into the United States, Global Surgical remains committed to American manufacturing and the people who make it possible.
As we celebrate Independence Day, we're also celebrating something else: more than three decades of building products that dentists trust every day.
Built in St. Louis Since Day One
When dentists purchase a Global Surgical microscope, they're investing in more than a piece of equipment.
They're investing in a product designed, engineered, assembled, and supported by a team that takes tremendous pride in their work.
Walk through our manufacturing facility and you'll see raw aluminum transformed into precision components. You'll meet employees who have spent decades building microscopes. You'll find engineers, assemblers, machinists, technicians, and support staff all working toward the same goal: creating products that deliver exceptional quality and reliability.
That level of ownership is difficult to replicate.
It's one of the reasons Global Surgical microscopes have earned a reputation as "workhorse equipment" throughout the dental industry.
More Than Manufacturing
One of the themes that emerged repeatedly throughout our recent video series was that what truly separates Global Surgical isn't just the products—it's the people.
Many members of our team have been with the company for 20, 25, and even 30 years or more. Some helped build the earliest Global Surgical microscopes and continue contributing their expertise today.
That longevity creates something special.
It means decades of product knowledge remain inside our organization. It means customers can speak with people who understand the equipment firsthand. And it means every microscope benefits from years of experience, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
In an era when many companies prioritize rapid product cycles and outsourcing, we're proud to maintain a culture centered around quality, accountability, and long-term relationships.
A New Facility, Same Commitment
Over the past year, Global Surgical moved into a newly upgraded manufacturing facility in St. Louis.
While some speculated that the move represented downsizing or change, the reality is exactly the opposite.
The new facility represents a significant investment in our future.
It provides improved manufacturing capabilities, additional space for growth, and an environment that better supports our employees and customers. Most importantly, it reinforces our ongoing commitment to keeping manufacturing and assembly operations right here in the United States.
The address may have changed.
The mission has not.
Why American Manufacturing Still Matters
For Global Surgical, manufacturing in the United States isn't simply a marketing message.
It impacts every aspect of what we do.
By keeping production close to home, we're able to maintain tighter quality control, support our customers more effectively, and ensure that every microscope meets the standards our customers expect.
It also allows us to stand behind our products with confidence.
That confidence is reflected in our lifetime warranty and in our commitment to supporting customers long after installation.
Because when you build the product yourself, you know exactly what's inside it—and you take responsibility for its performance.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate Independence Day, we're grateful for the customers who have trusted Global Surgical over the past three decades.
We're grateful for the employees whose dedication and craftsmanship continue to define our company.
And we're grateful for the opportunity to continue building products in America.
More than 30 years after our founding, we're still doing what we've always done: building durable, reliable dental microscopes with pride, precision, and a commitment to quality.
From all of us at Global Surgical, Happy Independence Day.
And thank you for supporting American manufacturing.
